Two Parasites

Two parasites working for Polres (District Police office) have just pop-in to my office (@ 11.15 am, Dec 16, 2005). As usual, they questioning about foreigners who work in our office, who are Mr MA (Norwegian) & Mr RG (Indian).

The parasites explain that the foreigners have to report to local authority weekly. The reason they gave: the local authority is very concern about the foreigners’ safety. Then continue with example how some of students have demonstrated and demand certain foreign institution to be expelled from Aceh.

My respond: yes I will report to your office, soon and regularly. Then I continue, if these students who pretend represent community try to chase away foreigners, let them be. Let see whether they have the gut to face the people, because we work for the people and they like us.

The parasites surprised with my emotional respond. Then they continued with their mission: suggesting that they need “operational support” (= money) to provide security services for us.

I pretend did not hear the clue, and continued with my usual complain about my own problems and stressed. At the same time, the parasites mumbled around about bad international non-government organization (INGO). And still I had been busy with my own complaint. Finally, the parasites gave up and pop-out of my office.

What funny is, we regularly meet with local authority for various program implementation. In fact, we also invite local police and military to come for coordination meeting. It just this half-unemployed-parasite-called-police rarely come to the meeting.

The things is funnier because the two parasites actually from intelligence unit and they don’t know that UNDP is part of UN. Though UN is non-government body too, it is quite different body from INGO such as Save the Children or CARE (See this various definition on UN and relation with INGO/NGO).

Surprisingly, the parasites also don’t know that UN is what in Indonesia usually calls PBB (Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa).

Again I have to repeat my self clearly in this blog of mine: I hate stupid people, but I hate more stupid parasites who show off their stupidity to me.

Can you parasites please find better things to do in your all-day-spare-time?
